Making Hay for Summer Camping

Making hay while the sun shines.

Preparing the Paddock

Preparing our summer paddock for July and August arrivals. A local farmer making hay from the long grass that needs to be cut short ready for camping.

A Busy and Sunny June

The month of June has been fabulous so far here in Botallack, near Land's End – with buckets full of sunshine pouring people out on to all the local beaches and coastal paths. Trevaylor Caravan & Camping Park has been very busy with an unprecedented turnout of guests staying with us here on site. Our welcoming bar has served many pints of Skinner's locally brewed real ale and G & T with ice and slice seems to be going down particularly well in the evening sunshine. Our home cooked food is very popular and the homemade strawberry and apple crumble with clotted cream seems to be a real favourite at the moment!

Welcoming Guests to Cornwall

It is great to be able to welcome so many people from far and wide, all coming to experience this wonderfully scenic and diverse part of the earth that we live on here in far west Cornwall. We have climbers, old and young, coming to get to grips with our fantastic Cornish granite sea cliffs. Then the birdwatchers coming to look for the Choughs, Peregrine Falcons and many other species of bird that can be found in this area of outstanding natural beauty.

Of course, there are walkers, dog walkers, sunbathers, sea swimmers, cyclists, ramblers, runners, strollers, day trippers, explorers – all sorts really! People just love to come and see, come and sit, come and paint, photograph, to feel and just to be. Where else would I want to be? Nowhere more than here – it is just right for where I want to be and I'm very sure it will be just right for you too!

So, see you soon.
